Maybe you could also mention that there is a "demo" folder that will do everything for you if you run the script provided: https://git.drupalcode.org/project/api/-/tree/2.x/demo

Also, the module ships with a QuickWizard UI where you only need to put the "https" URL of the repo and the branches to parse (optional, defaults to all) and the form will do everything for you automatically.
