Field widget with international dialing code plus national number

Created on 4 July 2024, 5 months ago

Drupal modules utilizing the jackocnr/intl-tel-input JavaScript library commonly suffer from poor user experience (UX) because the country code is automatically added to the input field. This requires the user to manually append the national number afterward. Additionally, users can inadvertently alter the country code after it has been added via JavaScript, further increasing the confusion.

A more effective approach would be to split the input widget into two separate fields, as demonstrated in this example:

This module doesn't use jackocnr/intl-tel-input I think you use another module that implements jackocnr/intl-tel-input.

I mentioned that other modules face this issue. Since this module does not use tjackocnr/intl-tel-input, it can freely implement a widget based on my suggestion. What are your thoughts on this?
