Hi @Dobefu,
The plan for Iconify Icon is more ambitious than a field type. The idea I've been working on for weeks is a more complete integration. As far as I can see, I understand https://www.drupal.org/project/iconify_field → as a "ready to go" module to quickly add a field using the icon picker as a widget. In this case, there is already another module that does this integration with Iconify's icon sets https://www.drupal.org/project/icon_picker → . For Iconify Icon, the workaround is different than get data from https://www.npmjs.com/package/@iconify/json library, it will require more work but will offer more possibilities. This is something that is halfway completed, and I hope to have it ready by the end of this week or the beginning of the next, at least the first part of the module. In any case, I am open to collaborate on whatever you need.

hi
Thanks for both maintainers for this issue that clarify the confusion and the nice work you people have done each other in your module. However does is mean that iconify_icons will also provide an icon-picker widget ?
Thanks

Hi @delacosta456!
Currently, our primary focus is on maximizing performance. Although the icon picker is on our roadmap and will be available as a submodule for users who need it or find it convenient, it has not been a priority to date. Improving performance will also facilitate the development of the icon picker.
Thanks for your kind words.

hi
ok thanks for replying and having this already planned. it's may also be the best moment to start planning joining/merging force/module with @Dobefu.I have feature request about field settings that i would post on a specific issue.
Thanks

I don't really know if make sense to merge the modules, because of the are implemented from different perspectives.
Iconify Icons is designed to be a lightweight module that requires no external library downloads. It works seamlessly with Iconify API calls and is fully Drupal-oriented, even for the Icon Picker feature.
As detailed in this issue, Iconify Icons aims to be a comprehensive and ambitious integration that includes a wide range of features.
However, as mentioned in previous comments, we are open to collaboration on any necessary aspects. This is an offer we made at the time.
