The title and description of that issue should be simplified to the most simple case in which this problem occurs (or expanded to include the case in this issue, if different) and then this issue should be closed.

Sorry I've been away from the issue queue for a while. Sounds related to https://www.drupal.org/project/media_entity_remote_image/issues/3117255 → which should have been fixed before. Will take a look!
