Make 2.x the default git branch

Problem/Motivation

At present, 8.x-1.x is the default git branch, not 2.x. However, 2.0 has already been released, so 2.x should be made the default git branch. Otherwise, all MRs that get added will target 8.x-1.x and have to be reset.
