Our events (eg courses) last for months. We'd like a calendar which displays each event on its start date only.
Using your SimplyTest.me link multi-day events display on every date of their range (see screenshot).
I tried adding a Start field to the view and selecting that in Format Full Calendar Display Settings ‘Start Date Field’ = ‘Start’. The calendar displays but it is empty (no events in it).
I have tried this using Calendar View 🐛 Smart Date sources not showing in Month Settings Fixed and came up with the same limitation.
Am I missing something or is this use case outside of scope?

Did you try setting both the start and end fields to the start value?
