@thomas.frobieter could you please add style for the add content buttons in dashboard?
I repaired the menu. I think a button style with inline buttons would make sense, because in projects these can be around ~10-15 buttons? Oerhaps with a plus or something like that?I already installed the fix in D10 and D11 template.

@thomas.frobieter if possible could you do that? Should be a quick win and is especially helpful if there are several content types. For example see our template or z m p

Current (ugly) status:
Sadly even worse, if there are more content types.
Simply styling the links as (inline) buttons is not much of an improvement IMO. It makes it even harder to find the right content type.
Maybe a good idea is to place a drop button in the top right corner (like the Add Content button in the DROWL wiki, or the Save buttons in the entity forms).

@thomas.frobieter it's an improvement at least, even if not huge, it's better. There's no technical way to do what you propose, even if it would be nice. drowl_admin_dashboard is just handling blocks in a layout. This is a menu block, so besides styling I don't see good ways to solve this within minutes.

Yes, and that is the point on which we disagree. If they are inline buttons, it becomes much more difficult to find the right point, because then you not only have to read list points downwards, but also to the right.
The block was also originally on the right, not on the left above the content, which was certainly the better solution.

That's for good reasons, because on the right side nobody saw it, it's the most used functionality (content) and now it's close to the content. Definitely much better position.
I also think you're talking about the admin quicklinks.

Okay, and what makes the top position on the left closer to the content then the top position of the right column?
Sorry. But I still don't see any benefit on the current position. Also its hacky shit to make this MENU look like a button group. One simple Claro or GIN Update could destroy this faky look.

Possible, I never used the dashboard and I don't have any quicklinks here.

It's above the content area, whereas on the right is the user profile and below the user profile would definitely be less prominent.
I still don't see a better alternative in this context, but I'm open to better suggestions. Simply getting these links is hard to impossible without using a menu block, as there's no function for that, just the parent menu item we can use.

@thomas.frobieter as just discussed. Here we go, ready for your finish! It already works fine and looks promising :)
