Editing a field's key should not switch the order of key and title

Created on 20 March 2024, 9 months ago
Updated 5 July 2024, 6 months ago

Problem/Motivation

When creating a new field, the key is automatically generated below the title. If the user decides to edit the key independently from the title, they can click the "edit" link. This converts the key into an editable field, and also swaps the order of the title and key fields, so that the key is now on top. This can lead to confusion about which field is which. Keeping the order the same would provide greater continuity, and reduce confusion.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Click "Add Element"
  2. Type text into the title field
  3. Click "Edit" next to the key
  4. Notice the order of the key and title are now reversed

Proposed resolution

Retain the original order of the title and key fields, when editing the key.
