Add "role-based requirements" to module page

Problem/Motivation

As a non-technical evaluator looking for a 2FA solution, I might not realize that this module allows sites to require certain roles to set up 2FA, which might lead me to pick a different module.

Steps to reproduce

Read the module page.

Proposed resolution

Add the following under "Features" on the module page:

- Role-based - Require certain roles (like administrators) to set up 2FA.

I've added a screenshot if you'd like to use it as well.

Is role based a good feature in your opinion? I think so, just want to be sure.

@greggles if you're asking "is having a setting in the module to enable 2FA per-role a good feature?" then yes, I think it very much is.

If you're asking "is the wording 'role-based' the right way to state the feature?" then... meh? I think it fits with the rest of the content, but also I think the whole module page could probably use some revisions at some point.

All I'd meant here is that it's hard to understand that the role option exists based on what's on the module page now, and adding that line might help people choose this module over something like https://www.drupal.org/project/miniorange_2fa β†’ , which advertises "Role Based 2nd factor authentication" but seems to have less community support.

Yes, totally agreed. Sorry my brevity made my question confusing.

I've updated the page now. Leaving as needs review for a bit for your feedback and any other maintainers.

    No objections from me.

Looks good. Moving this to fixed. If @froboy has any comments, he can set this back to "Needs review" at that time.

After 2 weeks d.o will then close this.

  • Automatically closed - issue fixed for 2 weeks with no activity.
