Gitlab CI testing of core version of the module does not fail on deprecations

Problem/Motivation

Testing the core merge request in 📌 [PP-1] Fix build tests for Automatic Updates core Gitlab Postponed the tests fail on deprecations, and maybe some other reasons, but they fail in our gitlabci testing of the conversion that we added in 📌 Add a new CI job that creates a core version of Automatic Updates and Package Manager, and runs their tests Needs work

Make sure we fail for the same reasons, such as deprecations, that core merge request will fail on.

    This seems to failing for unrelated DB errors so I am guessing this is some sort of problem with Drupal.org's gitlab CI setup right now

    Tests against 11.x are now failing for the same deprecations we're seeing in the core merge request. I think we can merge this and then fix the deprecations in another issue.
