If wouldn't classify them as AI Assistanst per se since they are not interacting in a natural human way like chat/speech. You could for sure build a chat system around any workflow you have created and it would be part of being an AI Asisstant, but I'm not sure if that makes much sense..
If you want to read more about where the AI Interpolator is going, its rather AI Agents, see: https://www.drupal.org/docs/extending-drupal/contributed-modules/contrib... →
AI Interpolator was always built for automation, which means that workflows that should be narrowly designed, but work completely autonomously. The fact that it can be used for editorial workflows is just a positive by product :)

Thanks for clarifying @Marcus_Johansson! I have also written with @mindaugasd about this and understood that AI assistants are typically made up of:
- AI prompt
- Access to multiple specialized AI services - actually interacting with, asking refining questions, based on the answer
- Access to previous prompts, both Q and A
Perhaps at some point in the future, the Interpolator AI sub-modules can be made to interact freely with each other, iteratively finding the best solution. I guess, to make it all more like an AI assistant, the prompt history and responses would have to be saved, ideally inside Drupal.
