Stuck on undefined URL

Problem/Motivation

1. Stuck on /private-message/undefined if clicked anywhere in the window on mysite/private-message URL

Steps to reproduce

Fresh install of Drupal 10.2.3
private_message:3.0.x-dev@dev
Permissions set
Block
Ajax refresh rate 0 - however 1 existing message starts to repeat itself over and over
Path auto and Admin Toolbar 3.4.2

Went to a test user just created
URL as expected
mysite/private-message/create?recipient=2
and clicked Send private message
It did
Now going in as that user I see 1 notification
It goes to
mysite/private-messages
Messages starts to repeat and push the reply text area down, and down ...
Here where the major problem is
Any click in the window - not necessary in the user messages action etc anywhere, even on My account top right ( Bartik theme)
The whole Inbox block becomes dark - transparency 0.8
URL is now
mysite//private-messages/undefined
and i'm locked out
Clicking on anything - nothing happens - URL is not changing, stuck on this URL
Only way is to manually edit the URL on top by removing the
private-messages/undefined part
Removing undefined only and clicking anywhere in the window looks - same -stuck in
Going in as Administrator (user 1) - same behavior

How can I remove the "Unblock Users" link?
