In status message the close icon visibility is too low

are you able to review from the 2.2.x branch?

the cause is the bootstrap 'close' mixin. It uses filter/opacity as a hover state. i've changed this to solid colors. I understand the degree of darkness is when hovering is lower, but at least it is a html button as a trigger for a11y. also given that this button class is the same for all colours messages in the theme (not just the green).
