First reservation is deleted when next is created before payment

Problem/Motivation

I am not sure that the mentioned behaviour is expected or not, that is why I classified this issue as support request.
I added a first reservation on unit 1 . When on commerce order page for typing billing info, I linked back to another unit page for adding a second reservation to the cart, willing to pay for both reservations.
BUT, first resa was cleared and I could pay for only second one.
Is this the expected behaviour ?
Would be very handy to be able to cumulate resas in the same cart/payment.

From code, I see the "/node/NODE_ID/add-reservation" form will add the actual node to empty (or new) carts.

For different uses, write some code for a new custom form
