How do I get views to show the "new" indicator?

Good evening,
I know I shouldn't ask this, I know it doesn't concern the theme (tara) itself.
I can't show the mark "NEW" on views (as in the drupal.org issues) when I add new content and select the "Content: has new content" item and insert it into the FIELD section, the title, body, image fields, content: has new content.
I can't even find results in google to fix the problem.
