Hello, I would like to know what the purpose of this module is.

I am using this module to pull Google's Client ID, via JavaScript, into a webform submission.

I had this same question. Retitling to be about improvement to the project page (and README, which seems to be missing). I added some more information to the issue summary that could potentially be added to the project page.
