Edit button is not working on home page

Edit button not working on the home page: When you click the edit button on the home page it is not navigating to anywhere.

Install the Gin theme and set it as an admin theme.
Create some nodes and land on the home page
Click the edit button on the top bar on the home page, here you can find the issue.

    It does work, when you watch closely your own video it toggles Drupal's edit mode like it should.

    So closing as works as design as this is a Drupal core feature and not from Gin itself.
