According to the UI: Check Vanilla if using content/custom markups, not fields.
Since my view is using a rendered entity and not fields, it sounds like I should check this box. But I am unable to.
Create a new view of media entities.
Set format to Splide Slider.
Show media entities (instead of field).
Configure the formatter settings for splide - checkbox is disabled.
Enable the checkbox or explain what else is needed.
