node fields in twig template do not print after field_layout is enabled

New D10.15 site

I can use a node template to arrange the layout of a node's fields for example {{ content.body }} {{ content.field_image }} etc

But if I enable experimental core module field_layout it seems that {{ content.body }} stops working ie nothing is printed, although {{ content }} still works.

It seems that once enabled, field_layout applies to all content types, ie there is no option to say enable field_layoiut for content type article but not content type basic page, or not node 45 etc

Is this expected behaviour? If so is there a way to render a node with a twig template using {{ content.body }} etc while field_layout is enabled?

    @Juc1, as you can see by the lack of responses here the Drupal Core issue queue is not the ideal place for support requests. The 'support request' option is there for filing support issues for contributed modules and themes. There are several support options listed on our Support page → . This is 'Get Support' at the top of Drupal.org. There is also information about Drupal Slack → , at 'Get Support -> Drupal Slack' also at the top of Drupal.org. You may get better replies in one of those places.
