Show names in layer switcher

This seems to work, and the layer names are now shown in the layer switcher.

I love it! Works well for me, too.

I am reminded, though, that we really do need to think of a good way to implement some tests on these.

Custom naming sounds great. I’d be interested to hear ways to achieve that.
