Problem/Motivation

Add the template so we can have test runs on Gitlab CI.

Do you mind also setting up automated test runs in Gitlab CI, for example run it weekly? This can be found under Build -> Pipeline schedules

No credit is required for this issue as it is trivial (and should be expected to be repeated on hundreds-thousands of other projects)
