Can't save the content without reloading if you miss the required fields once

Problem/Motivation

In any referenced content items [ECK or node ] , if you trigger the validation on the required fields, as in you don’t fill in the title, it will flag that you have not filled in the required field which is expected behaviour. What isn’t expected behaviour is when you correct these issues you are no longer able to save the content. The issue doesn't appear with simple form but in complex form

Steps to reproduce

  1. On a content type -> create a new field
  2. Select Content from Reference section
  3. Add the settings and select the bundles
  4. Load it as inline entity form- complex in manage form display
  5. Try to add a node
  6. From the ref field select the bundle type and try bypassing any required field before saving it e.g. title
  7. Error appears which is fine, now fill the title again
  8. Try saving it and it won't save

Proposed resolution

I don't know. Upon debugging with xdebug I can see the values fine. And nothing strange in callbacks.
