I'm using Paragraphs 8.x-1.15 and Paragraphs Editor Enhancements 2.1.0. The theme is Claro. You will able to reproduce the issue on https://simplytest.me.

I have the same issue. The paragraph buttons are displayed under the 'add' button. 'Hide js' is not the solution in my opinion.

Ah, I see. You didn't enable add in between buttons ... I'll take a look to get a workaround for this.
Never thought, someone would not use this feature :D

I have it set to "Add in between" and that just means that in the first "add in between" instance, you see all the buttons like in the screenshot above, but then there are no other "Add in between" items.

Would be great to get a fix for this. It's the last module blocking an update to D10 that I have on-going.

@markconroy Are you already running Drupal 10 on this site? If so, please use Paragraphs EE 10.x. If this is still Drupal 9, what theme do you use?

... if the theme is not "Claro" or "Gin", then maybe the issue is caused by 🐛 Add-in only works if active theme is claro or gin RTBC ...
I could reproduce it with "Olivero" and "Add in between" enabled.

I've pushed a change to 2.1.x to hide the modal contents if "Add in between" is not enabled.

I have upgraded the site now to Drupal 10, I've upgraded paragraphs_ee to 10.0.0 and I have "add in-between" enabled, but still not getting any joy.

Hm. I've tested this on a fresh installation using simplytest.me (https://master-fh2pdtxcgx1jgxlk6e3u2lgeok7dumqf.tugboatqa.com/; admin:admin) and it works without those problems.

@markconroy Are there any other modules on your site related to Paragraphs?

I can confirm this is fixing the error when using Drupal 9.5.10, paragraphs 8.x-1.16 and Gin admin theme.

The patch? Upgrading to 10 is no Option in this moment.
Is there a downgrade solution thats works for the module?

Drupal 10 Upgrade is planned in Nov. Until then Paragraphs must be usable somehow

@mogio_hh If you are still on Drupal 9, please use the latest development version → of Paragraphs EE. This version contains the fix I've committed some days ago.

@mogio_hh using the patch commited and staying on Drupal 9.5.10
As I'm not into using dev version, I prefer using the patch directly in composer.json

It's very strange. I have uninstalled paragraphs_ee and paragraphs_features, and then re-installed them again but this doesn't fix the issue. The only paragraphs modules I have installed are these two and also paragraphs itself.

Then I realised many of my content types have more than one paragraphs field on them, so maybe that was the issue, so I created a new content type with just one paragraphs field, but I get the same result.

We have only one custom module on the site, which I have disabled, so that is also not the issue.

Oooooh, but then I realised we have a custom sub-theme of Claro. When I set Claro as the admin theme the issue seems to be fixed. So the problem lies in our sub theme it looks like. Sorry for all this confusion.

Ah, then it's the issues with Paragraphs Features I've linked above. If you don't use claro or gin, "Add in between" won't work without the patch over there.
