What to use as successor module for Drupal 10 (or Backdrop CMS)

Hey @Beta2023A I'd be willing to take on a co-maintainer who was interested in porting this to Drupal 10.

I have no use for it, so won't be allocating any time to it. But if you have an interest/capacity or know someone who does, I'd be willing to review their patches etc.

Are there any news about a possible drupal 11 / backdrop cms version of commerce node checkout or an alternative module with these functions?

At the moment I still have to use drupal 7, because neither drupal 11 nor backdrops cms have such a functionality.

(And developing something like this myself is way over my programming skills...)
