- 🇳🇿New Zealand quietoneI started to work on this thinking it was a simple link but it is not. The Drupal 7 maintainers file refers to the roles, 'Branch maintainers' and 'Component maintainers' which are not in drupal-core.md. I wanted to learn more about those titles. The 'Component maintainers' paragraph has a link to https://www.drupal.org/contribute/core-maintainer → which is 404. Even so, I added a sentence just below the existing one about maintainers.txt
- @quietone opened merge request.

- 🇭🇺Hungary Gábor Hojtsy HungaryRe 3, https://www.drupal.org/community/contributor-guide/contribution-areas/core → has the roles listed now for core contribution, including various maintainers. The specific role for subsystem/component maintainer is https://www.drupal.org/community/contributor-guide/role/drupal-core-subs... → . I added a redirect on drupal.org between the two paths, so it is not a 404 anymore :) I also updated in the MR the existing text as well to be about Drupal 9+ maintainers. Even though that will need to be kept up to date for the number, I don't think "modern Drupal" and other terms are widely accepted to be used and would complicate the waters.
- 🇸🇰Slovakia poker10Thanks @quietone and @Gábor Hojtsy, I think the proposed text change looks good!

- 🇺🇸United States xjmMy addition seemed trivial enough to fix on commit, so committed to main. Thanks!
