I just tested this on a Drupal 10.1.2 site running Smart Date 4.0.3 and wasn't seeing any warnings.
That said, it makes sense to declare the property, so merging this in.
Automatically closed - issue fixed for 2 weeks with no activity.

I believe this is php 8.2 related, and not Drupal version related, see: https://php.watch/versions/8.2/dynamic-properties-deprecated - also there is no release on the 4.0 branch that has this fix, so people on 4.0.3 with php 8.2 will see it :)

What is the fix? I am using 4.0.3. Should I update to 4.1.x? I don't see a patch.

You can try this as the patch file, as it also applies on 4.0.3, but please test beforehand :)

Thanks! It appears it was included in an early version of 4.1.x-dev so I just installed that. It fixed the issue but I guess this is the development version? I appreciate the patch in case I need to revert.

If you are running 4.0.x with PHP 8.2 you may still see this error. If so, you can use this link to patch it.

Would be great to have a 4.0.x release with this fix! For our case we upgraded to 4.1.0-rc5 now.
