The patch is applied in 8.x-2.x-dev branch successfully. But in 8.x-1.x-dev, it is throwing an error. Is this issue relevant to 8.x-1.x-dev?

Yes, because 8.x-2.x isn't used at all at the moment, let alone that it will ever becomes production worthy :)
