This is a support request, but might also be a feature request depending on the response.

I'm wondering how people are using this module, particularly with urls. The two use cases I've had have been very branded parts of the site. They have their own name and their own urls, and so I've needed to create custom routes with the custom urls that just point to the dashboards/{dashboard_id} url.

Are people using the dashboards/{dashboard_id} urls with no issues, or are people creating custom routes as aliases like I am? Or maybe is there another option that I should consider?

Depending on what people are generally doing, I'd like to propose adding the option for a url alias, or "path". I can do this in another module, or add a patch to this module. The idea would be to model what views does. They allow you to set a path for that page display, and then there is a route subscriber that will set the route automatically.

    updating to needs review is done when there is a patch

    I set this to "needs review" because the idea I laid out needs to be peer reviewed, particularly by the maintainers. It's important not to set it to "Active" as I am not still working on it and updating it.

    According to this page → :

    "A policy, patch, or merge request has been created and needs peer review and testing."

    If you can find any other documentation or have a better solution to distinguish between 'still actively writing up an idea' vs 'needing review of this idea', please share, otherwise please leave the status as is.
