I think it means just what is says. MailChimp has not called this product “Mandrill” for years.

Why Drupal is showing error: The Mandrill module is unsupported, replaced by the Mailchimp Transactional module. I have install the latest version of mandrill 8.x-1.3. Not sure why it asks for Mailchimp Transactional module.
