How to show the addtocal link for a recurring date?

Oh, I see, its the "Recurring" Field formatter. Is this one specific to Smart Date? or is this an extended core formatter? If its a Smart Date formatter, it might should be properly renamed?

And maybe a short description in the module description would be helpful :)

Using the Recurring formatter is the intended approach for what you're trying to accomplish. This is a Smart Date formatter, so I appreciate the feedback about the naming. Currently I only know of Smart Date-provided formatters that will work with Smart Date fields, so it was really to reduce what seemed like unnecessary duplication, but I can revisit this.

Once you've set your field to display using the Recurring formatter, you will see separate options for the Individual Dates and Recurring Rule. It sounds to me like you want to enable this for the Recurring Rule:

This produces links on the rule output that will add the entire series to the calendar:

I can confirm that I've been able to display the Add To Calendar links for a recurring date instance, using the field formatter settings indicated above.

I chose the fieldset named "Recurring Rule" > "Enabled Date Augmenters" > and ticked the checkbox "Add To Calendar Links".

In sites I work on, we implement this **along with** the Add To Calendar links for individual instances of a recurring event, and we help distinguish that for site visitors by using the label "Add series to calendar" for the recurring event links and "Add to calendar" for the individual instances, resulting in a display shown below (which also uses the "modal" option):

My issue was, that I had ticked "Force chronological", if this is active, the Series-Cal-Link disappears. Not sure if this is intendet @mandclu?

If its intendet, for technical reasons or whatever, a hint should be added in the field description?
