Clicking embedded content toolbar icon while having an embedded content item selected creates new instead of editing

Linked the wrong patch, adding the correct one

We are also having the same issue. After adding a component, when we try to edit it, its creating new component instead of editing the existing content. And the patch is not working for us.

That is because the patch needs some work

I've created a patch that solves this issue, however I am having trouble building the changes. If anyone could apply the patch, build the changes and add the new patch that would be great!
