Node edit form doesn't save after filtering

Problem/Motivation

I have a control field "Audience" and a target field "Year Level". The view is set up and when editing a node, the filtering works as expected. When changing the "Audience" field, the "Year Level" field filters accordingly, but when I select a "Year Level" value, the node edit form doesn't save at all. Clicking the save button does nothing, and no errors in the console either.

    @tariqDev,
    With fresh Drupal9.5.10 and module version 8.x-1.6 its working fine.
    There must be some module in your instance which is conflicting with the functionality.

  • I had the same experience using this module with Drupal 10.0.9 while running the Gin admin theme. Clicking on the save button does nothing after you make a change to a field that is using the Form Filter Fields module.

    I'm guessing it's some kind of conflict with the way the Gin theme moves the save button to the top of the page. I have not had a chance to look into it yet, and changed to another theme that is working with Form Filter Fields module for now.

    Seems to me this is not the fault of this module but rather an issue with the theme. Specially after mkimmet reported the issue is existing in the Gin theme but not in another theme. Please check again after you tried the solutions provided in the theme issue queue.
