Error when clearing all caches after upgrading smart date

Problem/Motivation

I get this error when I try to clear all caches after upgrading smart date to version 3.7.2:

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '|', expecting ';' or '{' in /web/modules/contrib/smart_date/src/Normalizer/SmartDateItemNormalizer.php on line 28

Php: 7.4.33
Drupal: 9.5.7

Steps to reproduce

Upgrade smart date with composer.

Hmmm looks like we did end up introducing a dependency on PHP 8.0 in 🐛 Fatal due to mismatch of normalizer/denormalizer class function signatures Fixed . Is there anything you need specifically in the 3.7.x branch? Or could you use the 3.6.x branch instead?
