The module doesn't support D8. Because the core/once doesn't exist.

On Drupal 8.9.10 it throws the JS error "once is Undefined".
My feeling is it should be returned to jQuery/once or the support of <9.3 should be removed.

    Indeed, this was also spotted in #3338584 after recent updates,
    as D8.x is not supported and jQuery/once was deprecedated I don't see any other options than kicking out support for d8 for the future versions of the module

    Drupal 8 is no longer supported by the Drupal community, hopefully you've upgraded since then.
