I would like to clarify if this issue is more about the administration theme errors or does this also apply to contrib modules such as Webform and such that error messages would get an aria-live notification?
We have been investing an issue with the Telephone validation module where a validation error message does not trigger an aria-live notification and in such the error is not clear for screen readers.
I originally opened an issue 📌 Improve accessibility of validation error Closed: works as designed to the module issue queue but it was marked as works as designed by the project maintainer because the module is using core functionality and in such works correctly.
