Hello @Sutharsan,
I don't have access to that, thus I'm unable to help you; but, @gisle sir will help you out. - ๐ฎ๐ณIndia vishal.kadam Mumbai
Since module donโt have a release and not used by the users, changing module short name will not impact any users.
A Site Moderator user will help you out in this request.

There is, AFAIK, no way to change the machine name of an extension. Site moderator simply can't do this.

@gisle, Can you delete a project? That could be the alternative. And if not, who can?

sutharsan,
@gisle is right machine nameโs canโt be changed.
But I would you to take backup of your project, create a new post with your preferred name and the module code.
Then ask the moderators to delete the one via email or through the issue queue. Thanks

Hello @Sutharsan,
If the site moderator cannot remove the project, you can use the comments #8 Process. - Status changed to Closed: won't fix

Just for the record: Site moderators cannot delete projects with code in the repo.
Site administrators can, but has consistently refused to do so in the past. - ๐ณ๐ฑNetherlands sutharsan
Where do I find the Site administrators, which issue queue or Slack channel?
- ๐ฎ๐ณIndia akshay.singh Noida
You can request apaderno โ . He can do so.
- ๐ณ๐ดNorway gisle Norway
The correct place to request that a Site administrator delete a project is Infrastructure โ .
(AFAIK, apadermo is a Site moderator, not a Site administrator.)

Projects with code are never deleted or renamed, so that users can expect that anything they are using will be available indefinitely. And having the old project page mention the new project helps anyone who might have been using it know where to go next.
