That's ok, we can even commit that but.. it indicates there's a problem with your site - you're using a custom view that doesn't have $view_data['table']['entity type'] set and there's no other event subscriber to provide that data (normal core views have that and search API has its own event subscriber) so I'm afraid something will be broken even after that is merged.

Please dig a bit more.

Committed the fix for the issue but VBO is still useless on the watchdog view and probably on the issue author's view. Now it may even be harder for devs to actually see they're doing something wrong as there will be no errors, just VBO not working instead.

I'll leave it as "needs work" so maybe some new ideas will arise.
