Offering to maintain Canto Connector

Created on 9 January 2023, over 1 year ago
Updated 24 July 2023, 11 months ago

I and other users are interested in the continued support of this module. If possible I'd like to become a maintainer of this project.
Motivation:

  1. This module appear abandoned and patches/MR's have not been reviews in a long time.
  2. I submitted a patch/MR to integrate canto with entity browser but it has not been reviewed for months.
https://www.drupal.org/project/canto_connector/issues/3291989 โœจ Integrate media and entity browser. Active
  3. Other users are interested in applying the patch and continued support of this module
  4. The maintainer have been contacted multiple times via the contact tab.

any updates on this? does anyone know where to go to get maintainer-ship approved if the original maintainer is not longer active?

Actually, the project owner last logged in on drupal.org about 5 months ago. We do not consider him "no longer active."

Right. The official process to get maintainer access is described in the link I posted in my comment:

If the owner does not reply after two weeks, move the issue to the Drupal.org project ownership issue queue, by changing the issue's Project field to Drupal.org project ownership. Please include a link to the project page.
Site moderators will normally try to contact the owner as an extra safeguard unless it is evident the owner is no longer active in the Drupal community, giving to the contacted users two weeks for replying to the message they sent via the Contact tab.

    Moving to "Drupal.org project ownership".

It should have been moved here by the person making the offer (awn).

At least, we need confirmation from awn that they are still interested in being added as a maintainer.

Since last comment from awm on this issue has been done three months ago, he needs to confirm he still wants to be project maintainer. (Yes. it was preferable awn moved the issue himself, but if he can at least confirm he is still interested, that should be fine.)

awn cannot opt projects into security advisory coverage. This is not an issue for drupal.org site moderators, who do not add as maintainers people without that permission.

Either awn applies to be able to opt projects into security advisory coverage, or the project owner adds him as maintainer. I am moving this issue back to the project issue queue, to allow the project maintainer to see this issue and reply.

Canto Connector โ†’ is not covered by Drupalโ€™s security advisory policy. This means that the permission to opt projects into security advisory coverage is not required, and awn can be added by the site moderators.

However, this issue belongs in the project's own issue queue until awn requests assistance from the site moderators.

    Whoops... Yes, it is true.

Hi all, just following up on this. I am currently using this module with my modification on a key project and I am still interested in becoming a maintainer.
