The MR for the patch is a reduced copy of the first patch and can be ignored. The first patch by @albertosilva is correct and important, but I can't get it imported. The error message is always the same:
Could not apply patch! Skipping. The error was: The process "patch '-p0' --no-backup-if-mismatch -d '/docroot/modules/contrib/views_googlenews' < '/var/folders/60/70qlyqmn2m39kyhcwhmjgcy40000gn/T/6408cb2271aae.patch'" exceeded the timeout of 300 seconds.I am using Drupal 9.5.4 with PHP 8.1.x

dump is a test only function. That was copied from core, check how that works there now. Maybe just an exception?

#3266243: Views tries to call trigger_error() with E_WARNING which throws a ValueError → removed that check in core and it was traced back there to code from 2008 o.0. Did the same here in the merge request and merged.
Automatically closed - issue fixed for 2 weeks with no activity.
