jQuery UI overlay not close after clicking the "Cancel" button

Problem/Motivation

The jQuery UI overlay doest not close after clicking the "Cancel" button or click the corner "close" icon. The dialog is destroyed, but not the overlay... This js error occasionally shows in the dev console. Not sure if it was related.
Uncaught Error: cannot call methods on dialog prior to initialization; attempted to call method 'option'

Steps to reproduce

Perform bulk operation and click the "Cancel" button in the confirmation dialog.
