Problem/Motivation

Translatable media not display the correct image data (image, alt, title)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a node type with an entity_reference field, referring it to a media images. This field is not translatable (is the media which will be).
  2. Configure node type presentation to use "Responsive thumbnail" as the field formater for the entity reference field and select any responsive image style.
  3. In the Media type "Image", there is an Image type field, called "image". Ensure translation is enabled on file, alt, and title elements.
  4. Create a new media of type Image and translate it to another language.
  5. Create a node of the new type created and refer the media
  6. Translate the node.
  7. When you see the node in the original language, you should see the image and the data of the translation.

Proposed resolution

Until core not provide a better solution, create a patch based on https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/3089216 🐛 Media Thumbnail Formatter doesn't translate the title attribute correctly Needs work
