I created a merge request with the patch in #2.
I am using the Drupal WxT distro → for Government websites, which has just decoupled from lightning contrib modules including lightning_scheduler. The lightning_scheduler module was nice in that it provided a simple form to allow users to schedule a workflow transition from the latest revision. Since lightning contrib modules are being deprecated in the near future, I would like to use this module in the distro to fulfill workflow scheduling requirements.
I would like to include a config checkbox as part of this module that allows us to simplify the UI for end-users who are creating transitions. It will hide the revision table (from image below) and just allow users to schedule the latest revision. It will also hide the "Recreate pending revision" checkbox and just keep it's default value.
I think this is a great module with a lot of advanced features, but for 99% of use cases I think there are too many options which will confuse users or allow them to accidentally publish an incorrect revision.
