For one of our projects we have 2 fields linked to the same taxonomy on a content type. The menu breadcrumb setting "Attach taxonomy member page to breadcrumb" is activated and takes the first field to build the breadcrumb. In our case we need the second field to be taken.
Add a third party setting to all entity reference fields that reference to a taxonomy to check which field must be used.
