[META] Provide advanced output handling / rewriting functionality

Problem/Motivation

This issue came up in #3223838: Allow configuring HTML elements to remove from the summary including their contents → , but is a bit different, as its purpose is to provide the known "Rewrite results" functionalities from views for Smart Trim:

We should discuss to provide the following features and re-use the implementation from views to be sure we implement it correctly and safe!

The following features should be discussed:

• Override the output of this field with custom text (and tokens)
• Output this field as a custom link
• Trim this field to a maximum number of characters
• -- Trim only on a word boundary
• -- Add "…" at the end of trimmed text
• -- Add a read-more link if output is trimmed
• Field can contain HTML (An HTML corrector will be run to ensure HTML tags are properly closed after trimming.)
• Strip HTML tags

For existing same functionality, we should use the same wording already known from Views.

All the other related issues should also be considered here and where ever possible reuse Drupal core functionality for text handling.
