Hi Guys, seems , I have arrived a little late to this issue, but please have a look at this design of the page . This design is taken reference from various sites and I have tried to recreate it. I know that after your review there are gonna be some brilliant minds in the house suggesting me the best possible alteration to the design , but I am ready for it . Please have a look at this design. Awaiting for you responses. Thanks

Here are my thoughts on the proposed solutions so far:

In the original/legacy design, the druplicon seems to be the prominent element, which is nice. Although the proposed design in #2 tries to mimic that and modernize it, I find the "hook" bit of the question mark too "busy" and confusing, and that it unnecessarily draws attention - it also seems proportionally huge. I would prefer it if it was more compact.

I really like the design in #18, as I find it slick and to the point, without any unnecessary "bling". I wouldn't mind some smart/funny textual comment to go along with it, rather than raw "tech lingo" coming from robots.

#24 seems a bit too much and as if it is "celebrating" the 404.

My 2c - not an expert - not a designer - just expressing feelings/reactions for having a look at the proposals, and I understand that personal preferences and reasoning differ. Please do not feel offended/sad.

I am answering you because I feel alluded to. Of course all opinions are welcome and everyone has their own tastes. I will not feel offended by it.

My previous comment came because with all the work that there is in a large community like this I see much more useful to collaborate and share the work than to compete for a particular task.

This of course is my opinion and others may, and this is good, think differently.
