First off - this module is a great idea, thank you for putting it together.
It can be difficult for non-technical users to find the URL of the original image they want to regenerate.
Provide a form on image / media pages (the entity's canonical URL) that provides a list of image styles and a button to regenerate that item.
Provide a patch.
On image / media pages there would be a way of selecting an image style which would then delete that version of the image.
