Thank you for your work and effort on this module.
As useful as it is for Drupal, I suspect it will be equally useful for Backdrop.
As such, I have started a port of the 7.x-1.x version of this module to Backdrop.
If any of the maintainers are interested in maintaining or co-maintaining the Backdrop port afterward, let me know.
If not, I am willing to maintain or co-maintain the Backdrop version, once it is ported.
