Core issue for module page on this topic?

Hi and thank you very much for this very helpful module. I was just wondering, if there is any core issue on this topic, which should be linked on the module page.

In my opinion the current core behavior to add fields, but not care for existing entities, can be rated as bug and leads to follow-up issues like broken joins (strangely behaving filters in views) for example as the value is missing. Even for required fields!

So it's good, that such a module exists, but would be even better if core handles this gap. Vice-versa, core also deletes values of deleted fields and doesn't simply keep values for existing entities... ;)
