Out of the box, this module crashes with a 500 error code when saving the configuration and sending a test email.
Debugging showed that the error 500 occurs because the mail plugin implements ContainerFactoryPluginInterface. Editing the plugin class to remove that interface from the class definition, the site doesn't crash.
