Module not compatible with PHP 8

I tried this module using PHP 7.4, than payments can be done successful.
When upgrading to PHP8, the payments don't work anymore.

When returning from the payment site (Mollie) to my own site after payment i get this error:

The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.
TypeError: json_decode(): Argument #1 ($json) must be of type string, stdClass given in json_decode() (line 26 of core/lib/Drupal/Component/Serialization/Json.php).

The order doesn't get completed by this error.
